AMZN (-4.4%) is attacked by Trump, Trump has talked about changing the tech giant’s tax treatment and wonders if there’s “any way to go after Amazon with antitrust or competition law.” No clear path of new policy is hinted yet --- it could be just noise.

REITs finally have a good day, IYR +1.9%. EQR +3.7%, SPG +3.6%, REG +3.45, MAA +3.1%, O +2.9%, OHI +2.9%...Other high dividend stocks: PM +3.2%, MO +2.8%, T +1.9%, VZ +1.5%, CMCSA +0.9%.
Retailers stay strong as economy is still in good shape, M +4.3%, KSS +2.8%, WMT +2%, TGT +1%...
Such trend suggests investors are turning from growth companies to defensive players --- dividend stocks. High P/E companies could feel more pain if current high volatility continues.
Big pharmas: AGN +3.3%, CELG +3.1%, BIIB +2.5%... Also drug store and health insurers: CVS +3.5%, WBA +2.5%, CI +1.7%...
GE +1.8% on Berkshire hopes.
Losers
FAANG: NFLX -5%, AMZN -4.4%, AAPL -1.1%, GOOG flat and FB +0.5%. Also SQ -7.2%, TSLA -7.7% to $257.8, OSTK -3.5%. I have warned about these three recently due to weak fundamentals to support high valuation. Chinese Tech companies are also mostly down.In semiconductor sector, LRCX -3.2%, AMAT -2.5%, INTC -3.1%, NVDA -1.8%, MU -1.7%, WDC -1.5%
Red Hat (RHT -5.3%) loss all the gains following ER.
ALB -4.1% drops to 52-wk low, for no reason.
Earnings in AH
GameStop (GME +1.9%): Q4 EPS of $2.02 beats by $0.05. Revenue of $3.5B (+14.8% Y/Y) beats by $230M. same-store sales +12.2%. Expect FY19 revenue of $8.84B vs. $8.84B consensus and EPS of $3.45 vs. $3.45 consensus. Shares +2% in AH. Short-squeeze may be on the way. I am still holding a small position in GME.My Trades Today
